Biography

I am an authorized Official Local Guide for the areas of Florence and Siena.
Since 1997 I have also worked as a Tour escort specialized in the Tuscan areas.
Having the same guide for Florence and Siena means offering a truly personalized and professional service.

I am originally from Belgium, French speaking, and now I share my life and my time between  the centre of Florence, Oltrarno,  and the beautiful Sienese countryside, the Crete sienese area.

I still recall the vacations spent in Italy with my parents during my childhood, and the times we’d spend discovering the harmony of towns, art, and history of this wonderful country.
After graduating from the University of Interpreters in Brussels, I moved definitively to Tuscany.
As a result, I have gained complete familiarity and I am thoroughly acquainted with this region not only from an artistic point of view. In fact, I consider myself almost more Tuscan than Tuscans themselves!

In recent years I began to discover, and I am still discovering the "real" Tuscany through my companion’s activity as professional photographer specialized in Tuscan urban architecture and landscapes. Together we travel through Tuscany during all seasons and suggest itineraries to major Italian travel magazines such as Bell’Italia, Meridiani, Conde Nast…

I am used to viewing Tuscany through different eyes, and offer a special, personal and passion-filled approach.
Since 1997 I have worked as an accredited tour escort for Tuscany.
The Region of Tuscany has assigned accredited tour guides for each province because of its widespread and abundant art historical and cultural heritage.
In 2003, following training and exams I was selected as a certified tour guide for the Province of Siena.
In 2004 I trained and specialized and was selected as a certified tour guide for Florence.

I offer tours for individuals, groups of friends, families with children or business groups.
I am a free-lance tour guide professional and among my customers are: Hotel Villa San Michele in Fiesole, Hotel Castelletto di Montebenichi ( Arezzo), Affresco from Florence for Incentive, Solotours, Donatello, Salaun, Missing Italia, BNP Parisbas, Axa, SFR, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, Citroen,  Menarini Group, Collège Saint Michel of Brussels, the Province of Siena, the University of Siena...
